My Heart Will Go On
by harpestr@nettally.com

JOURNEY UNBIDDEN

Oh treacherous, traitorous heart
you were not bidden'
yet journey hidden
without invitation you start.

Life's long path strewn with thorns
you walk for roses
your hope encloses
secret love to adorn.

Foolish heart, the memories
what is their worth,
compared to hurt
endured in lonely secrecy?

Loving heart can't speak
of tender longing
or needs belonging
to love we longer seek.

Tender heart, light beams
on voyage you pursue
keeping love-filled dreams
for often dreams come true.©
