Road of Crystal Dreams

On the road of crystal dreams
a Lady passed her life
where Knights were what they seemed,
protection from the strife.

She wove a world of magic
to shelter from the storms,
a harbor from the tragic,
her lonely heart had borne.

In her imagination
Knights of old existed
to stop the conflagration
of dragons fiery twisted.

And hero slayed the beast
that ate her very soul
then daringly released
black fear from deepest hole.

Long years in dreams she slept
built castles in her mind,
a million tears unwept
in struggle self to find.

Then Knight of dream appeared
and woke her from her sleep,
gently heart he speared
invaded spirit deep.

A bond the fates decreed
of half souls split at birth,
he took her on his steed
to wandered heaven's earth.

Past lance and armor bright
she saw a heart of care,
a golden gentle light,
a visage ever fair.

And he saw sleeping Rose
morn's dew would softly kiss,
as the petals would unfold,
to drink the loving mist.

He dreamed to trace soft lips,
soft lay his mouth on hers,
of passion deeply sip,
soul's passion softly stir.

Each day the love bond grew
as they rode their dream,
her Knight stood tall and true
his love a guiding beam.

But when blossom was in flower,
fate strew the path with thorns,
shattered crystal tower,
his lady left forlorn.

In dream they will remain,
in life he's honor bound,
in true love lies no pain
a bonded friendship found.©
