Need

There are so many things in life,
we need the peace, the strife,
we need the conversation;
the air to live we breath,
to laugh and then to grieve,
we need the adoration.

There is approval for our tasks,
we need the first, the last;
we need the touch,
the sun to warm our being,
rose glass to alter seeing;
we need the crutch.

There is that one of fealty,
we need the dreams, reality,
we need the love;
water to quench growing thirst,
someone to place us first;
and the stars above.

There's tender love of someone,
we need the finished, the undone,
we need the seed;
the answer to our call,
passion and most of all,
we need the need.©
