EDEN'S GARDEN

She wrote him in her fantasies,
where she lived within her dreams,
and walked with him in ecstasies
and all the lovers' themes.

She was a Lady for his caring
in the places that she made,
but she sang of love, despairing
that she'd leave her mind's charade.

And she longed for the reality,
that would satisfy her needs,
not a life spent in brutality
of an unfulfilling meade.

And in her world of daily living,
there was no one in ;her heart,
to take her gift of giving,
so she wrote it in her art.

But, he found her in her fairytales,
and he reached to heal the pain
of a lonely heart in life, assailed
by an everlasting rain.

And he gently reached to hold her,
with his words to take the hurt,
and in tenderness enfold her,
then in lovingness to girt.

And his whisper she can oft hear,
"It is late that we have met"
as he wipes away the shed tear,
and frees her with regret.

"We will always be together,
I will always be your Knight
for our spirits wear a tether,
that will bind us in life's flight".

"I am yours alone to cherish,
you will always be my sun,
and our bonding will not perish,
I'm the Lady you have won".

She remains in life's reality
an everlasting friend,
though she walks with him in fantasy,
on a road that never ends.

And she writes a shining Arden
as a place to make them whole,
and with tears she grows her garden
as a harbor for their soul. ©
